Chip Austin Hunter
Born and raised in Long Island and Westchester County New
York, Chip graduated High School at the age of 15. After a few years of
study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy , he went to the
University of Miami where he studied Psychology and Theater. In 1993,
Chip moved to Los Angeles where he started a Mosaic Studio and produced
some major public art installations as well as creating commercial and
residential functional art pieces.
After spending some time as a Los Angeles artist, Chip developed the
concept for Art Share Los Angeles. The thought of a place where
low-income people could receive life and employment skills while giving
back to the community was the beginning of what now is a large
multi-level arts incubator serving the many people of Los Angeles. The
combination of wholesale and retail experience with an infusion of
philanthropic and social service priorities enabled Chip to have all the
necessary training and insight into creating Art Share and helped him
achieve great accomplishments while he raised 12 million dollars in just
5 years. Among these accomplishments was receipt of the Presidents Daily
Point of Light Award by President Bill Clinton.
Chip moved back to New York to be with Family in Huntington and after
experiencing a large demand for his mosaic work, Chip later opened
Mosaica in Huntington Station. Chip was recently named a commissioner
for the Huntington Station Revitalization Commission and the Huntington
Station Business Improvement District Steering Committee. He has hopes
of eventually recreating an Art Share organization in New York while
helping to revitalize the Huntington Station area. Outside of his Mosaic
Art; Youth Programs, Economic Development and Community Beautification
are among his strongest passions. |

Jenn
Scarola
While completing a Bachelor’s of fine Art Degree in
Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology, she began her
exploration of the commercial art world as an Animator. Working on
traditional cell animation she produced material for CBS Network,
Lifetime Television and the “Rugrats” for the Nickelodeon channel and
Hasbro Toys. Feeling the need to further explore the world of
Renaissance Art, she accepted a position as an assistant instructor at
the world renowned PoliModa Institute in Florence, Italy. There she both
studied and taught drawing and painting in the same traditions as the
Old Masters. Ready to revisit the world of commercial art she then
returned to New York. Working in some of New York’s most prominent
agencies she rose from the position graphic designer to that of Art
Director. Seven years later the Advertising business, although
fast-paced and exciting was not fulfilling, she knew that she had to
leave her computer behind, because her first love, Fine Art, was once
again calling her. Jenn returned to the Fashion Institute of Technology
and joined the prestigious Restoration Department to earn a Bachelor’s
of Art Degree in Restoration. Her studies in restoration covered
everything from ceramics, metals and furniture to paintings and
sculpture. She eventually chose to specialize in Gilding and Painted
finishes. After graduating at the top of her class, she then began
working for some of the cities premier restoration studios. There she
honed her skills as a gilder and mastered the centuries old European
technique of water gilding. Jenn now runs her own business specializing
in murals, fine art and finishing, while still working for small
restoration studios and private clientele. She continues to study art
history and Architecture as she believes it will only make her a more
prolific and well rounded artist. Today, Jenn anxiously awaits and
enthusiastically continues to explore the Art world for any new
challenges and adventures it has to offer. |

Bill
Hutton
Originally from Douglaston, Queens, Bill grew up in a
family of artists and artisans. He has his roots spread worldwide.
Included in this creative tree are Jacopo, Giovanni and Gentile Bellini
from Naples, Italy and The Van Hauten Family from the Netherlands. A
special Spirit seems to also be present, coming from his Native American
Heritage.
He has been inspired by his Mom, who has been painting her whole life
and only getting better as she goes into her 90's, along with her Dad
who attended Cooper Union in the "teens" and worked as an airbrush
artist for a major greeting card company in New York City, Proper. Also,
his Dad, Grandfather and Great Grandfather who were painters and sign
makers in their day has a place in his heart.
All this imagination and awesome artistry funneled down to Bill, whose
artwork has been lovingly created from his palette, with hopes that it
will bring you and anyone who views it, a peaceful and heartfelt smile.
Bill also worked his artistic ways restoring Antiques in western Nassau
and later in East Northport, putting his heart into every piece as he
now does with every tile painted. |

Dan
Wooster
I begin a painting abstractly;
relating lines, shapes, and colors
to each other, searching for a
feeling of rightness
The forms that emerge gradually
suggest a subject to my imagination.
The picture comes to life as I craft the image by instinct |
